Hi, my name is Paul Parkin and a ICT Support techn
ician, I have over 10 years at
of experience in providing providing a valuable service including training, fault
diagnostic, inventory and stock control. Most of this was working at South East Derbyshire
College, yet continuing to provide my services after leaving the college through
home service and through various paid and voluntary work.

In my own time I have also gained over 15 years of experience as a voluntary youth worker, providing a safe place for young people to come, organising events and activities, help to develop in areas they need. I have also continued my interests in the Media and entertainment sector, following my interests and through my own self learning and various voluntary work I have gained high interest in the creative media and digital marketing roles from designing and creating leaflets, posters, logos and presentations. Using various design platforms to help promote various activities, events, services.
Through various jobs and church I have used my creative multimedia skills to create a number of presentations and promotional material using, video, photography and powerpoint, to present information for group work, discussions, open nights, events, quiz nights, church service, reports and information.
My enjoyment and critical interest in the media (television, film, radio and new media) increased during my involvement in writing scripts, novels, short stories, video editing and filming. Projects included promoting young talent, camera work and doing research and various related voluntary work.
I am currently writing a number of short stories, novelettes and TV drama scripts.
